TARM Selected for Innovation Expo
TerrAqua Resource Management (TARM) has been selected to present at the Innovation Expo during the Shale Gas Insight 2011 Conference on September 7 and 8 in Philadelphia. TARM’s selection was the result of a joint evaluation by the Ben Franklin Technology Partners and Marcellus Shale Coalition.

Post Drilling Watertreatment
TerrAqua Resource Management’s (TARM) new treatment facility in Williamsport, Pa., for wastewater generated from hydrofracking, well development and production was the first of its kind in Pennsylvania and required the firm, a subsidiary of Williamsport, Pa.-based Larson Design Group, to obtain a special “beneficial re-use permit” from the Pennsylvania Dept. of Environmental Protection.

Shale drillers tout recycling as option for wastewater
Now, less than three years after recycling operations began, the industry and regulators claim that up to 90 percent of the wastewater recovered from shale drilling is recycled. About 2,700 Marcellus wells have been drilled to date, with 50,000 more projected in coming decades.
